It was calling out “paint me” as it laid there in its resting place. There is still admiration for the fallen and remembrance of the beauty they once held.

Painting in two visits, on location, and with final touches in the studio gave great pleasure in capturing this image. May it bring thoughts of remembering the fallen for you.
